After the absence of a French challenger in the last edition of the America's Cup won in March 2021 in Auckland by Team New Zealand against the Italians of Luna Rossa, various actors are mobilizing behind the scenes to set up a tricolor project and participate in the 37th edition which should take place in 2024.

Interests and investors seem to be aggregating around Stéphane Kandler, boss of the former challenge K-Challenge (in 2007 in Valencia). Meetings have notably taken place in Le Havre on the occasion of the start of the Transat Jacques-Vabre.

Among the people who can bring their experience and whose names are circulating, we find Franck Cammas (co-skipper of the Maxi-Edmond-de-Rothschild) and Bruno Dubois (team manager of the French team engaged on the SailGP circuit), both at the helm of Groupama Team France in 2017 in Bermuda.

Like for other potential candidates for the next America from different nations, the future of the tricolor project under gestation remains closely linked to financing and the publication, scheduled for Wednesday, of the protocol of the 37th edition which should give information on the place, the date and the format of the event.
